Seashell Wedding Cake

We made this cake for a lovely wedding out in Half Moon Bay. The seashells are all handcrafted from sugar, and the two ducks on top were handsculpted from fondant and sit atop a surfboard (this had special meaning for the bride and groom). Inside was moist chocolate cake layered with rich cheesecake and strawberry filling.

Something Blue

Trend Watch: Blue is the new "it" color for weddings! Royal blue, navy blue, anything but Tiffany blue. When the 4th bride in a row came and told me her wedding colors were a deep blue and white. . .I was onto something. Here's my inspiration translated into cakes for 2010.

Pink & Orange Cupcake Tower

A wedding cake doesn't have to be big to make a statement! We created this cupcake tower for a beautiful wedding held at the Westin St. Francis ballroom. The two tiered cake serves 50 and there are 50 additional cupcakes in chocolate, vanilla and red velvet flavors. Fresh gerbera daisies and dahlias round out the eye-catching design!

We can do a similar thing for smaller events like bridal showers or baby showers.

Topsy Turvy Ferrari Cake

This fun cake was designed with the help of the groom. No, the wedding decor wasn't red and black (far from it, it was orange and green)....no there wasn't a "car theme" throughout the wedding. What's really refreshing about this cake is that the design did not have anything to do with the wedding at all, other than the fact that the groom loves cars and Ferrari's, and also really digs a cool looking cake!

Minimalist Elegance in Buttercream

Buttercream? Yes, buttercream. We can make our buttercream cakes exceptionally smooth! Nothing is as sweet, innocent and breathtaking as the traditional white wedding cake. This one is updated slightly with a "branchy" pattern piped in white against a smooth buttercream frosting.
